Partner Spotlight: The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey

The Community FoodBank of New Jersey is gratified to have the partnership of The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey in meeting the need for food among some of our neighbors in need. The Healthcare Foundation generously supports the FoodBank’s Pediatric Pantry at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. In this program, low-income households with pre-school children who are outpatients of the hospital receive approximately 50 pounds of nutritious food each month. The pantry is part of the FoodBank’s strong commitment to addressing the link between good food and good health, an important issue to be reminded of during National Nutrition Month.

The Healthcare Foundation also financially supports the FoodBank’s annual turkey drive, which gives us the means to distribute more than 20,000 turkeys and holiday meals during the Thanksgiving holiday season.

The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey is an independent grant-making organization dedicated to reducing disparities in the delivery of healthcare, as well as improving access to quality healthcare for vulnerable populations in the greater Newark area and the Jewish community of MetroWest New Jersey.

The FoodBank benefits greatly from the Healthcare Foundation’s expertise and its shared commitment to helping those in need.
