OritaniBank Charitable Foundation

Oritani Bank, based in New Jersey and founded over a hundred years ago, is supporting the FoodBank’s hunger fighting programs in Passaic, Hudson and Bergen counties through its charitable division—OritaniBank Charitable Foundation. The Foundation’s generous support is helping the FoodBank provide more food to the hungry including fresh foods like fruits and vegetables, dairy products, seafood and meats and helping to protect the health of those we serve.

Responding to the rising poverty in New Jersey, the FoodBank distributed 43 million pounds of food in 2014, the highest that we have ever done. Our hunger fighting work includes providing food for children from poor and low-income families through our Kids Café’s where children receive warm and nutritious meals during the school year. For families with pre-school children, the FoodBank operates the Pediatric Pantry Program that provides healthy groceries and regular health check-ups for children and other family members. Our food distribution services for member agencies enables us to provide groceries and fresh produce for soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters and other programs for vulnerable populations.

The FoodBank is truly thankful to the OritaniBank Charitable Foundation for helping to meet the need in our communities!
