With the warmer weather, people across New Jersey are enjoying the many farmers’ markets that offer fresh fruits and vegetables, often straight from the fields of the Garden State. This year, there’s a growing effort to help make sure that people who get SNAP (food stamp) benefits can enjoy the advantages of this nutritious and wholesome food. More vendors at farmers’ markets in New Jersey and nationwide are now accepting SNAP benefits. The United State Department of Agriculture has a list of those farmer’s markets taking SNAP.
