Zerega’s Sons Inc. of Fair Lawn, maker of custom pasta for the food-processing, food service and retail markets, is a major food donor to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. During 2014, Zerega donated more than 950,000 pounds of its products. Pasta, which has a long shelf life and is a versatile ingredient in many meals, is a staple at the FoodBank, which distributes more than 40 million pounds of food each year. We distribute this food through our own programs and through our 1,100 hunger-fighting member agencies, including shelters, soup kitchens and food pantries.
