Corporate Partner Spotlight: Prudential

The Community FoodBank of New Jersey is grateful and proud to have the longtime support of Prudential Financial, based in Newark. In addition to generous annual financial donations for the FoodBank’s workforce development program, the Food Service Training Academy, Prudential has participated in both of CFBNJ’s capital campaigns — one in the 1990s, one in 2012 — which were needed for repairs and renovations to the FoodBank’s warehouse headquarters in Hillside.

Prudential employees regularly volunteer at the FoodBank, and several New Jersey offices organize annual food drives. Last fall, a team of 44 of their employees participated in a Hunger 101 workshop at the FoodBank to gain more knowledge, through hands-on exercises, of the difficult financial choices faced by many low-income households.

The Community FoodBank is very fortunate to have the services of Sekhar Ramaswamy, Vice President and Chief Talent Officer for Prudential, on its Board of Directors.

Thank you, Prudential, for being a valued neighbor and partner in providing food, help and hope to communities in need.
