One In Five Kids Will Miss More Than One Meal Today

In New Jersey, nearly one in five children faces hunger. This means that these kids don’t know where their next meal will come from — or if they will even have something to eat. This holiday season, the Community FoodBank of New Jersey launched a campaign to shed light on the issue of hunger. We spread the word with support from people like you, who shared our public service announcement on their social channels, and with media coverage.

The campaign continues to raise awareness about the locality of hunger; it exists in every county across New Jersey. It also boosted our Giving Tuesday efforts by encouraging people to contribute to the cause. The advertisement captures the panic of a mother who forgot her child’s school lunch, a feeling that struggling parents experience every day…
