Communications Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a creative, curious, social media savvy storyteller who’s passionate about the issue of hunger in New Jersey, and CFBNJ’s role in delivering food, help and hope to those in need.  The Communications Specialist will raise awareness by creating compelling written and visual content about CFBNJ, its people, programs and partner charities, to reach audiences via platforms including our website, social media, e-news and printed newsletters.  The ideal candidate will be a strong social media manager with keen attention to details and deadlines, an excellent writer, and able to prioritize multiple projects.  Experience with web writing and editing is necessary.  Familiarity with video editing, Photoshop, InDesign and analytics is highly desired.

Director of Development

The FoodBank seeks an experienced dynamic fundraising professional to develop and implement a development plan targeted at individuals with major gift potential.  Responsibilities include the cultivation and solicitation of prospects and donors who have been identified through an aggressive direct response program, growing monthly donor program and online giving and utilizing an established gift club program to upgrade these donors.

The Director of Development will report to the Vice President for Resource Development and Marketing.

The ideal candidate will possess: Five or more years senior-level fundraising experience; excellent communications skills; ability to make a persuasive case for support and a proven track record in securing major gifts;  knowledge of donor databases,  preferably Raisers Edge;  experience in online and email fundraising and an understanding of social media and web-based marketing.

Kids Resources Program Coordinator

We have a position available for a person to supervise the daily operations of our programs benefiting children including Kids Cafés, Tools 4 Schools and Kids Closet.  Responsibilities include conducting site visits and presentations as well as administrative oversight which includes managing donations from the Kids In Need Foundation.  The successful candidate will have at least two years of supervisory experience, proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite with database experience preferred.  Must have a strong attention to detail and be able to multitask and work independently to complete all assigned tasks.  Must be organized and have strong communication and customer service skills.

Government Programs Coordinator

We have a full-time position available for a detail-oriented professional who will coordinate the distribution of government food programs. Must have the ability to multi-task, make presentations and have excellent interpersonal skills.  Computer/Data Entry experience required.  Bilingual/Spanish preferred.

Administrative Assistant

We have a position available for an administrative assistant with strong organizational skills. Candidate must also possess excellent interpersonal skills, be proficient in Word Office Suite, and must be discreet with personal and professional information.

Customer Service

We have a position available for a Sorting/Distribution Coordinator.  This position requires a personable, outgoing person with good organizational and planning skills and must be proficient in data entry.  You will be working with agencies and volunteers, coordinating and sorting food items including food drives and donations and maintaining records.
